2009 Swim Team
Information
Water Polo
is underway this week. If you haven't tried it, now is a good time. Practices
are three days a week with game one day. Coaches Charlie Nieman and Quinn
Sterling are looking forward to a good turn out of players.
Norwood-Woodridge Water Polo Team starts practices on Monday, July 27, 2009 at
Woodridge Pool. 14&U and 18&U from 8:00 to 9:00 am, 12 & U and 10&U from 9:00 to
10:00. Games will begin on Thursday, July 30. Cost for the season, $70.
Tentatively the season will be as follows:
10&U will be on Fridays at Samena
12&U will be on Thursdays at Phantom Lake
14&U will be on Saturdays location TBD
18&U will be on Sundays location TBD

our team! SIX new pool records were set:
11-12 Girls
50 Free: Marley Cross, 27.84 (old record was 28.20 in 1976)
8U Boys
100 Free Relay: Costa Colachis Glass, Jackson Dudley, Oliver Nordberg, and
Maxwell Cross, 1:07.89 (old record was 1:07.90 in 1978)
11-12 Boys
200 Freestyle: Noah Cross, 2:06.42 (old record was 2:11.33 in 1989)
200 Medley Relay: Grant Yeatts, Noah Cross, Gavin Blake, and Connor Duffy,
2:21.86 (old record was 2:14.79 in 1990)
200 Free Relay: Gavin Blake, Grant Yeatts, Connor Duffy, and Noah Cross,
1:54.53 (old record was 1:55.87 in 1990)
15O Boys
50 Backstroke: Eldon Cummings, 26.47 (old record was 27.53 set by
Eldon earlier this season; prior to that the record was 27.95 in 1993)
